To enter the Republic of Kazakhstan, you must have a valid passport and visa. An invitation to Astana Finance Days is a sufficient basis for a simplified procedure for obtaining a short-term Kazakhstan visa at the consular offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad. We strongly recommend you to apply for visa support in advance to the AIFC Expat Centre.
Bear in mind that citizens of countries that have agreements with the Republic of Kazakhstan on a visa-free regime may stay on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan without visas for a set period of time with short-term business purposes.
If your country is not on the list of countries with visa-free regime, you need to apply for a visa to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan. Please, read the instructions below to obtain a visa.
INVITATION FOR VISA
Visas for entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan are issued on the basis of an invitation drawn up by the inviting party no later than 14 calendar days and not earlier than 90 calendar days before the anticipated date of entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan.
ISSUE OF VISA
Once we receive your invitation with a sequence number, we will send a scanned copy of the invitation to your email. Then you need to apply to the nearest diplomatic mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in your country.
We draw your attention to the fact that the visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan can be obtained upon arrival by citizens of countries that do not have diplomatic representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Registration of a foreign citizen's passport
Foreign citizens who plan to stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan for more than 5 calendar days from the date of crossing the state border are obliged to register within 3 calendar days at the hotel where they will live or in the Expat Centre of the Astana International Financial Centre.
Late registration can be considered as an administrative violation, especially at the border when leaving the country.
If the stay is less than 5 calendar days, the registration is not required.
Foreign citizens of visa-free countries with the Republic of Kazakhstan or countries with a simplified visa regime in accordance with the list shall be registered at the crossing of the state border in the international airports of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
