This year Astana will be celebrating its 20th anniversary.
During this time the city has underwent an enormous path of development. Thanks to the economic model of development established by the Head of State, the city provided about 6.3 trillion tenge in revenues to the state budget against 2.3 trillion tenge of transfers received.
The total investment in 20 years amounted to almost 8 trillion tenge. In 2017, the volume of investments reached a record 945 billion tenge, of which almost 200 billion tenge were direct foreign investments.
The city is on the right track, and its greatest accomplishments are yet to come. Astana continues to grow and develop, preparing for a new leap.
In 2018 has seen the start of operations at the Astana International Financial Centre, one of the key projects that will determine the future development of the city.
The AIFC is designed to create the most comfortable conditions for investors: the jurisdiction of common law that is familiar for global capital, an independent dispute resolution system, highly qualified personnel for the localisation of business.
The main plus of the project is that it does not pull to pieces the existing mechanism of attracting investments both to the capital and to the country as a whole, but complements and strengthens it.
The high interest of foreign capital and experts only confirms the prospects of the AIFC project. Discussion of its development, as well as other topical issues of the regional economic agenda will be at the core of the ASTANA FINANCE DAYS conference.
