Legalization of crypto currency in Kazakhstan will prevent money laundering - opinion
The president of the National Association for the Blockchain and Crypto technologies development Alan Dordzhiev believes that Kazakhstan should legalize the trading crypto-currencies platforms, LS reports.
"Regulation of the crypto-currency market should be thoughtful, because the main regulation aspect of such platforms is the procedure in which you must show the origin of your funds. Market participants should make up that category of people who would not represent a criminal community, meaning they would not be launderers of money. In this case, following the example of Japan, in Kazakhstan, at the first stage, these trading floors should be legalized" – Alan Dordzhiev said.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev said that in Kazakhstan they will draft amendments to legislation on blockhain technologies regulation and instructed the Ministry of Information and Communications to accelerate the implementation in the state administration.
In turn, Asylbek Davletov, Director of the FinTech department of the Astana International Financial Centre informed that in Kazakhstan they developed a concept for regulating crypto-currencies.
